Top Maps and Navigation Apps on Android in Ghana - Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, Ghana's Android users showed significant engagement with top Maps and Navigation applications. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated varied trends in downloads and active user numbers.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 20K by the end of September. The app also maintained a strong presence with weekly active users hovering around 170K to 184K throughout the quarter.

Similarly, Bolt Driver: Drive & Earn saw a peak in downloads early in August with over 10K downloads, but it later stabilized to around 4.7K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively steady, fluctuating between 42K and 50K.

Phone Tracker & GPS Location showed a downward trend in downloads, starting from approximately 9.7K in early July and decreasing to around 1.4K by the end of September. Despite this, active users remained robust, peaking at over 54K mid-quarter.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady increase in downloads, reaching close to 7K in late September. The app's active users consistently grew, ending the quarter with over 81K.

Finally, Yango: taxi, food, delivery showed a consistent download rate, reaching a peak of approximately 5.4K at the end of September. Active users slightly declined towards the end of the quarter, settling around 45K.
